About R3

The New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF) is a not-for-profit corporation that invests in startup companies and research & development. We’ve been proud to host the R3 event biennially for the last 10 years.

Not to be missed event for care workers, researchers, and businesses looking to improve healthy aging.

This year’s 10-year anniversary event promises to be unlike any other, with:
• A new, collaborative approach
• Extended 3-day format with something for everyone
• $165,000 in total NBIF research funding to be awarded
• Three Research Innovation Award winners awarded $50,000 each in NBIF research funding
• One Viewer’s Choice recipient awarded $15,000 in NBIF research funding
• Timely theme of Innovations in Aging

The Theme: Innovations in Aging

Every one of us has been, or will be, touched by aging. Concern for aging populations is top of mind across the world. But the province of N.B. poses a unique urgency, and, opportunity.

Get a new take on what research can do to impact business and our every day lives.

Opportunity for innovation is limitless – new technology, policy reform, and transformative care models can improve quality of life, meet staffing demands and keep seniors comfortable in their homes longer.

R3 Gala and Research Innovation Awards

The events lead to a final evening Gala where we will recognize five Research Innovation Awards finalists. Three honorees will be chosen as winners, having the greatest impact on our community.

Each of the three honorees will be awarded $50,000 in NBIF research funding. Plus, we will award one viewer’s choice honoree with $15,000 in NBIF research funding.

Meet inspiring speakers, learn from experts, and collaborate with key professionals from around the province.
